Mad Men Season 5 finale:

"You only live twice..."

In the end here you have late 60s Don encountering of sorts his early 60s self

Peggy is starting a 2nd life

Betty even though not here has started a 2nd life

Pete is even about so it seems to start a 2nd life

They're living twice.

Peggy in the movies with Don, " I'm going to the Virginia factory to tour the plant" Is it Virginia slims cigarettes?

How about Pete not only finally feeling remorse but just the fact that he feels.... something.

My personal fav line from the episode was Megan's mom about her: "She has an artistic temperament but she's not an artist"

Another Mad Men parallel in that the whole Topaz thing in the beginning was about referencing how they used Peggy as cost-free in house research; then we see her in her new supposedly better decision as.... drum roll please.. nothing but in-house research regarding the ladies' cigarette.

Pete has a philosophical moment yet again this season, on the phone in his office... did you notice the print of the moon, space etc on his wall and remember his dialogue I think it was with Harry a few episodes ago about the Earth and the moon, insignificance, helplessness etc?

So the very end where you only live twice, Megan's pal acting like a Mad Men to set something up for personal gain. Don is in the position about to be the dupe of his own type of game.....

Loved the movie theater scene with Peggy. If you notice, since he watched the empty elevator shaft regarding Megan, Don has had two dates that weren't dates; with Joan and then with Peggy here. In both of those he finally has not sex but closeness.. Don is searching for closeness. Look at both his dialogues with Joan and Peggy in both of these non date dates....
Also, Don says to Peggy "that's what happens when you help someone, they succeed and move on"

Is that part of his attitude toward Megan, specifically, the shot of him watching her film then suddenly frowning...
